Which part of the ginseng has the most saponins?
Sapponins are found throughout the ginseng plants including the leaves, the berries, the roots, and the rootlets. The most density of Ginsenosides is found in the rootlets and next in the root. So to intake all the sapponins the whole root including the rootlets is recommended. The problem with Ginseng products is in the time of harvest and the method of processing. Ilhwa as the world leader and ginseng science developed Ginex to have the optimum amount and range of Ginsenosides far exceeding that of other ginseng products often by 300-400%.

What is the difference between white ginseng and red ginseng?
The difference is in the processing in the standard ginsengs found on the market.
White ginseng: the skin of the ginseng is striped and the ginseng is dried.
Red ginseng: ginseng is steamed without the skin being peeled however normally the rootlets are peeled; the heat makes a reaction that makes the ginseng turn red. Storage is easier, and through the steaming process new elements and types of Ginsenosides are made. The standard estimates of most ginseng in the market is that steamed Red ginseng has around 30 kinds of saponins while air dried white ginseng only has 22. Ginex science has utilized aspects of both Red and White ginseng processing and created an advance proprietary process which makes it far superior to standard White and Red processed ginseng. GINEX GRANULES™ has 38 different kinds of Ginsenosides.

Ilhwa as the world leader in Ginseng science and has worked to perfect the process ginseng. Ilhwa created a unique and proprietary type of Ginseng by combining both Red and White methodology. The first is the year of harvesting. Ilhwa science discovered that the optimum cultivated root comes from roots harvested at 4 or 5 year harvest while most other ginseng products use the 6 year harvested root. Ilhwa uses the whole root without peeling, then does slow air drying, and finally Ilhwa use is proprietary low heat vacuum extraction. The final process is lyophilization which creates the highly concentrate GINEX GRANULES™.

Why is GINEX GRANULES™ made from Ginseng roots harvested at 4 or 5 year? Aren’t the 6 year roots better?
Ilhwa Central Research Institute carefully researched and analyzed ginseng roots harvested at 4, 5 and 6 years. Using advance methods of scientific measurement they discovered that the optimum roots came from the 4 or 5 year harvest. Although the 6 year harvested root is larger, it is also more fibrous and therefore has less density of Ginsenosides and less balance of the types of Ginsenosides. The reason the market continues to promote the 6 year root is that it is larger and provides more grams of ginseng from each root and each harve
