Vesugen - Synthesized Blood Vessels Peptide

Vesugen is a dietary supplement with а synthesized peptide of the vascular system. It normalizes the function of the blood vessels by reducing their peptide deficiency and restoring protein synthesis inside their cells.

Vesugen is recommended for everyone whose blood circulation may be compromised, especially elderly people and those with vascular disease, microcirculatory disturbances in different organs and tissues, atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, hypertension, hypertonia, encephalopathy, vegetative-vascular dystonia, hypercholesterolemia or varicose veins.

Vesugen can be easily combined with other supplements and medicines and should be used in addition to conventional medical treatments. 

Biologically active food supplement Vesugen is a peptide complex containing the following amino acids: lysine, glutamine and asparagine, normalizing vascular system functions.
Vesugen is manufactured in the form of tablets or capsules with 0.100 mg content of an active substance. Experimental studies in the vascular organotypic tissue culture have shown, that the peptide complex is capable of stimulating proliferative and functional activity of the main cellular elements of the vascular wall tissue culture, as well as reducing spontaneous cell death rate, enhancing regenerative-adaptive processes in proliferating and differentiating cells. The substance exerts a trophic and stabilizing effect on morphological status and tissue regeneration in the vascular wall, thus improving its function. Pre-clinical experiments in vivo showed that Vesugen possesses a tissue-specific activity with respect to vascular wall cells, improves their trophics and regulates their metabolism, facilitates the normalization of functional and morphological changes in vascular wall, regulates blood cholesterol/lipoprotein level, thus decreasing the risk of different vessel damages. Based on the above, the effective application of Vesugen for restoration of blood vessel functions disordered in the course of different diseases, including atherosclerosis, is anticipated. Atherosclerosis and its consequences are considered to be one of the leading causes of incapacitation and deaths in developed countries. Changes in the vascular wall, accumulated with age and, as a result, hemodynamic disturbances lead to the decreased peripheral blood circulation, vascularization of tissues and organs, development of components of oxygen deficiency and trophic disorders in different tissues and organs. Vesugen clinical trials enrolled 87 patients with vascular atherosclerosis. Fifty three patients in the main group (33 men and 20 women) received Vesugen per os, 1-2 capsules with food 1-2 times a day for 20-30 days, in addition to commonly used medications, depending on the intensity of pathological process. Thirty four patients (18 men and 16 women) in the control group were prescribed only conventional remedies. Patients of both groups aged from 50 to 82 years (see Table 1).

Both groups of patients reported different clinical manifestations of atherosclerosis, depending on severity of damage of various vessels, such as essential hypertension; ischemic disease associated with coronary artery damage; cerebrovascular disorders with memory impairment, concentration deficiency, affective lability of patients with cerebral atherosclerosis. Disease progression was diagnosed in all patients. Earlier, all subjects under study used to get symptomatic and pathogenetic treatment on the account of specific clinical manifestations of vascular pathology.
Patients’ complaints, clinical blood and urine tests, biochemical blood study results were evaluated in dynamics. Blood coagulogram was performed and Hess test with tourniquet was applied to examine homeostasis.
It was registered that the administration of Vesugen to patients with arterial atherosclerosis improved their general status, normalized the sleep, especially in patients with cerebrovascular disorders. Patients with ischemic disease pointed out decreased arrhythmia manifestations and stenocardia attacks. Patients with essential hypertension associated normalization of blood pressure with Vesugen administration in combination with antihypertensive agents. They were able to achieve a long-lasting remission between hypertension attacks by using lower doses of conventional antihypertensive drugs.
As shown below (Table 2), Vesugen administration provided for a decrease in general cholesterol level in the blood.

A tendency to the decrease in the content of extra-low density lipoproteids, known to be the most atherogenic, has also been revealed in the course of the trial. Therefore, the results of clinical study confirm Vesugen therapeutic effect and expediency of its application in the complex therapy of vascular atherosclerosis. Since no side effects, complications, contraindications or drug addiction have been revealed, Vesugen is considered to be suitable for per os application. As a biologically active food supplement, Vesugen may be employed for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes in complex therapy of patients with vascular atherosclerosis. It also appeared useful for the improvement of microcirculation in combination with other means of symptomatic and pathogenetic therapy in case of different tissues.

Ingredients (per 1 capsule): peptide AC-2 (lysine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid). Inactive ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose (E460), beetroot sugar, lactose, starch, Tween-80.
Contraindications: an individual tolerance of components, pregnancy, lactation

Recommendations for application: adult men 1-2 capsules. 1-2 times a day during meals.

Receiving duration: one month, repeat every 4-6 months.


The Saint Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology (SPIBG) of the North-Western Branch of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences for years has been developing a special approach to a new class of peptide-based supplements. As a result of the analysis of the amino-acidic sequence of peptides extracted from organs and tissues, physiologically active short peptides have been developed and later defined as a class of cytogenes, also known as the synthesized short peptides. This class of dietary supplements is characterized by a faster action compared to extracts: the physiological effects become evident after 24 hours, the main processes related to regulating work and functionality of organs and systems are launched. It is therefore considered highly important to take these synthetic peptides in the earliest stage of biotherapy.

On the other hand, the extracted peptides, widely known as the cytomax class, or the natural peptides, perform in a more delicate and gradual manner due to their so called specific physiological environment: it includes amino acids and microelements typical for that type of tissue from which they have been extracted in terms of quantity and quality. As a consequence of discrepancy in performance and effects of the different classes of peptides (synthesized or natural), SPIBG recommends their step-wise use as more reasonable. For instance, in the first four weeks a course of synthetic peptides can be taken, followed by one to two months of biotherapy based on natural peptides.
